Poche idee ma ben confuse. Pensieri e riflessioni a casaccio: ALICE SEGUI IL CONIGLIO BIANCO

In fondo chi s’accontenta gode no?

It’s all about money?

Gli esempi sono infiniti: Charles Darwin, Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein, potremmo andare avanti all’infinito.

Dovremmo tutti fare grandi cose?

"I wanted movement, not a quiet life. I wanted excitement, danger, the ability to sacrifice something to love. I felt within myself a superabundance of energy which found no outlet in a quiet life."

Alice Follow the White Rabbit!

Often we find ourselves choosing not to choose. We let things go on, opportunities and changes as well, without realizing them.

I disagree.  We always notice them, but we prefer to ignore them. Lying to ourselves, we turn our eyes away so as not to see, and we settle what we have. After all, it’s ok?
Well I'm never satisfied, I don’t like losing time to rest in a life that is not for me, a comfortable life, a peaceful life, a boring life. Many people at this point will agree with me and normally think "neither me, hey look where I am now, look what I've built, look what a beautiful job position I have, a beautiful home, a beautiful wife, beautiful children." Well, well, very happy for you if you think so, go ahead and I hope that you will always have the wind blowing in sails, if this is what you wanted to do... obviously. Because if it’s not, well, everything that you have built is vain, superfluous. And you are not happy. And you know it. But you deny.

In a fast fast world in wich you think and you are already late, the value of building something, no longer makes sense. It’s a deconstructive society, destroying instead of increasing, it destroys us physically, think about how many times you came home completely tired after a busy, in my personal opinion inhumane, working week. Yes because we work so much, too much, working with too much stress, wasting away, giving the best of ourselves and then we have no longer time for anything, even to sleep at times. And you know well that I am not exaggerating, it is. So in that damn way you think your life will go? Is it progressing towards what you wanted? Your career is taking shape? The profession you like? Upgrading both your position and salary? New car and new girl to carry in that expensive restaurant that you have advised by your friends because now you're in with the money? It's all about money? I found out one thing: if you are already able to get an appointment, and the girl would be with you, you can offer just a coffee! A chat and a smile! Well, however, the restaurant is your choice.

The point is this, we are no longer able to choose.

When I ask “what are you doing in life?” A lot of people, without even realizing it, almost respond as this: "I AM ... a consultant, manager, lawyer, doctor, architect, plumber, etc .." and they should respond: "I DO consultancy, management, law etc..." it seems a purely linguistic discussion, but it reflects in itself a psychological condition: you ARE the role that you HAVE. Devastating. There is nothing more impersonal and dangerous to identify yourself with a role. Almost worse than identify with what you own, a car, a house, a dress, a woman / man, a lover. It’s a deception of the ego. Consumerism in social, occupational, emotional relationships. Devastation of the human being.

If you ask me, I would answer a concept, I know it's trivially pedantic, but it’s so, I cannot define it in another way, and I don’t care if it sounds arrogant, it's the truth, and as such is not subject to review. The concept is: CHANGE.

Each of us could answer as they like, and rightly so, it’s legitimate, should only do so without conditions, without fear, without deceit. Then the answer comes by itself. It can sometimes surprise.

Alice has made a choice. She had chosen to follow the White Rabbit, and had experienced the greatest adventure of her life.
Lewis Carroll is one of my favorite writers, had metaphorized time ago what we test each days in modern life, the fear to break away from the known, the comfortable, the familiar, even if all this it sucks, scares us, we don’t like, makes us complain, frustrates us, we castrates, we are afraid.

Afraid to choose, afraid to find out, afraid to live. Fear of what? We are made for this. We are the kind of animal (and here returns the nerd in me, sorry) which had expanded more in the globe, we have reached every part of the earth and also went on the Moon! We are those who have explored art, thought, philosophy, meditation, and process technology coming to discover all that we know of so far sublime. Well those who have done this were heroes? Gods? Supermen? I don’t think so, they have made a choice, they followed the White Rabbit, were not satisfied and have lived their lives fully. Sakyamuni (Buddha) had disowned his family and started meditating, Dr. David Livingstone had arsed Queen Victoria, not exactly a reasonable person, to explore Africa as he wanted, Pablo Picasso had reinvented the concept of spatial form and created a new perspective, a set of all points of view from a single point of view. Nietzche had overturned the common concepts of thought, revolutionizing the prospect. The examples are endless: Charles Darwin, Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein, we can speak about forever.

Should we all do great things? No, but we could be happy, choosing to follow the White Rabbit wherever it takes us.
